Celebrating Self-Love: A Journey Through ‘Portraits of Self’ at 34 Gallery

I’m excited to announce that my artwork, “Embrace Who We Are”, has been selected for the Portraits of Self Open Call by 34 Gallery, which holds a special place in my heart.

This open call focuses on the power of self-acceptance, rejecting societal beauty standards, and embracing the uniqueness of who we are. The artwork I created for this theme explores the contrast between societal expectations and true self-love. Through the juxtaposition of a “perfect” image with a joyful, authentic reflection, “Embrace Who We Are” highlights the importance of celebrating our individuality and finding strength in embracing our true selves, regardless of the pressures to conform.

It’s an honour to be part of this important conversation about mental health and body image, and I’m deeply grateful for the opportunity to contribute to a project that encourages self-empowerment.

Thank you to the 34 Gallery team for supporting this initiative and for providing a platform that amplifies the voices of artists advocating for positive change.

You can find the exhibition and all selected works on their Open Calls page.
