Be You is going to GO WEST

The exhibition brings digital artworks into public space, allowing visitors to discover art while walking through the park with their smartphones. I love the idea of art appearing gently within nature — not hidden away behind gallery walls, but becoming part of a shared walk, a moment of discovery, and maybe even a meaningful pause in someone’s day.

Be You is a soft motivational piece about self-acceptance, kindness, and the quiet courage of being yourself. The words are taken from my song Be You:

Be you — that’s more than enough,
In a world that’s wild and tough.
Young or old, green or purple,
Twist or twirl, square or circle.
Hip or hop, quiet or loud,
Be yourself and wear it proud.
You're the best — don't need to try,
Just be you, and touch the sky.

For me, the piece is a message of encouragement. Something gentle. Something hopeful. Something for anyone who may need to hear that they are enough, exactly as they are.

That is also why I feel this work belongs beautifully in the spirit of GO WEST — Celebrating Culture & Joy. Culture and joy are not only found in big celebrations. They can also live in the human moments where we feel seen, welcome, and free to be ourselves.
