The theme explored the glitch not as a flaw, but as the interruption that begins change — the moment when something breaks, shifts, or no longer fits the way it once did.
My piece looks at that through loss. It is about the moment when life has already changed, but the heart is still learning how to live inside that change. The old life is gone, the new one has already begun, and yet part of us is still standing somewhere between the two.
The glitch became a way for me to express that rupture — the break in the pattern that makes it impossible to return to what was, while its presence still remains.
For me, the work is about the moment where loss recodes identity, before the new self is fully formed. It is about letting go without fully letting go, and carrying what has been loved forward without forgetting.
That is also why the quote I chose for the piece feels so fitting: “A new life can begin while the heart is still saying goodbye.”
I am very glad that this work found a place in Glitch Goddess.
